SA: Thousands watch Anzac Day march in Adelaide
ADELAIDE, April 25 AAP - Thousands clapped and cheered South Australia's war veteransin the annual Anzac Day march through Adelaide today.
Organisers said one of the biggest crowds ever watched the march, from the city's warmemorial to the cross of sacrifice, in fine and warm conditions.
There were no signs of anti-war protesters.
Earlier about 2,000 people gathered at the war memorial for the dawn service, probablythe largest since the memorial was dedicated in 1931.
Wreaths were laid by various dignitaries including SA Governor Marjorie Jackson-Nelson,Premier Mike Rann and representatives of both the RSL and the local Turkish association.
