NSW: Liberals dismiss claims Hornsby result was disappointing

SYDNEY, Feb 24 AAP - The NSW Opposition today declared its Hornsby by-election win"fantastic", despite the fact Labor did not field a candidate and almost a quarter ofthe northern Sydney electorate did not vote.
Liberal candidate Judy Hopwood had tonight secured close to 51.5 per cent of the primaryvote ahead of her nearest rival, independent candidate and former Hornsby mayor John Muirhead,who had 36.9 per cent.
