Saying Black firefighters have an insult level, the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. is holding a noon rally Friday at the Daley Plaza to protest the recent election of James McNally as the new union president.
"It is unreasonable and un-American to expect members of the union to pay dues without representation," Jackson told the Chicago Defender and WVON's Cliff Kelley.
"All firefighters, white, Black, Hispanic, of good conscious should call for the resignation of James McNally who is vocally opposed to inclusion," Jackson stated.
